  Attorney Martin Winfield created Moments Law Firm to meet clients at that very intersection—where legal challenges, emotional strain, and real-life consequences collide.   Born in Queens, New York, and raised in Inglewood, California, Martin’s journey has always been shaped by discipline, purpose, and a deep respect for people and community. He attended Howard University, where he earned a degree in Accounting before beginning his professional career with a prestigious accounting firm. Although he found success in the business world, Martin felt called to a different kind of work—work that would allow him to stand beside people when the stakes were highest and help make a meaningful difference in their lives.

  That calling led him to Pepperdine University School of Law, where he earned his law degree and began what would become more than two decades of service in the legal profession. Over the course of his career, Martin represented the State of California across multiple departments, developing a command of trial preparation, litigation strategy, investigations, witness preparation, and courtroom advocacy.

  Martin has spearheaded more than 100 trials, prepared more than a thousand witnesses, overseen numerous investigations, and represented county and state institutions, agencies, and departments in complex matters. His experience has given him a rare perspective: he understands how cases are built, how institutions evaluate evidence, and how the courtroom can shape the course of a person’s life.

  At the same time, Martin has tirelessly defended criminal defendants, professional organizations, indigent clients, pro bono litigants, and corporations. He brings to every case the steady judgment of a seasoned trial attorney and the empathy of someone who knows that behind every file is a person, a family, and a future worth fighting for.
